Global leaders remind Clinton of superpower responsibilities

LONDON (AP) — Global lead ­ ers today reminded Bill Clinton of W ashington’s responsibilities as the sole superpow er and said revitalizing the U.S. economy is im portant to the entire world. Iraqis danced in the streets to celebrate President Bush’s loss, but Kuwaitis were heartbroken. Across the continents, reaction was generally upbeat, although s e v e ra l le a d e r s e x p re s s e d concern that Clinton might lead th e U nited S ta te s on a m ore protectionist path in trade.
